In conjunction with JobsDB.com Career Expo 2010, a series of career talks were organized to facilitate job hunting for jobseekers during the 3-day job fair.

From Resume Writing to Interview Skills, participants discovered the core components that make up a professional and effective resume and cover letter. Common mistakes were highlighted to ensure that participants avoid committing them. Strategizing every stage of an interview prepares you for a victorious treat. More importantly, during an interview, the way you carry yourself is ultimately the deciding factor whether you are selected for the job or not.

A session on Grooming and Etiquette was thus conducted to educate our participants on how to dress up for an interview to present themselves at their best. Do you know the choice of colours can assist you in projecting the desired image to your interviewer or anyone you meet? If your appearance and etiquette have impressed your business associate, do you know how to carry an intellectual conversation with him or her Attendees of the workshops have since learnt how to, via schmoozing, open new doors to opportunities that were once closed.

At the end of each day, a Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) speaker led a visual tour for the participants into the attraction spots in RWS. He also furnished the participants with exclusive tips on the qualities that a candidate should possess in the tourism industry.

To sum it up, the 2-day event was a huge success as these enriching seminars have honed the participants to be more prolific and polished individuals. They brought home with them vast knowledge and enhanced skills related to job hunting.
