10:00am – Dress to Impress for Interview ( by Audrey Quek)

Background

Successful people believe their success is attributable to a pattern of mutually beneficial interpersonal relationships, as much as it is due to technical skills or business knowledge. Your communication and the image you present create the first impression - often the lasting impression on the people you meet. A professional appearance sets you apart from co-workers who are less concerned about projecting a successful, professional image.

Objectives

This 2-hour seminar addresses both image building through Dressing and Professional Etiquette. The first part addresses “The Ladder of Formality” from formal, business casual to creative casual clothing to suit your wardrobe personality and lifestyle. This is followed by acquiring professional etiquette skills to exercise professionalism and credibility in both your business and social circle.

    - ABC Factors of First Impressions
    - Top 10 Ways to create a lasting impression on prospective employers
    - Fatal Interview Faux Pas
    - Appropriate Interview Attire

2:00pm   – Schmooze Your Way to Success ( by Eric Feng)

Backgrounds

Business networking has a bad reputation. You have probably been to one of those cringe worthy networking sessions where the people are as fake as mannequins and pump handshakes like they were pulling on cash registers. The sobering truth is that people sniff out insincerity faster than a forced smile. Are you letting this happen in your networking efforts? Don't let your networks fall into relationship hell. Get networking advice and tips from Eric Feng, one of Asia's top 25 young entrepreneurs and networking guru, who has aptly earned the title of "everyone's best friend" from his clients.

Objectives

In this two-hour talk, you will find answers by learning the art of schmoozing! Do not expect a ten step formula or boring lectures. Instead, be prepared to get your hands dirty and learn how to schmooze your way to a dream job, a double promotion or even a brand-new career!
