Mission and Objectives

JobsDB Career Events core mission and objectives of organising career-related workshops/seminars is to provide a platform for the general public to widen their scope of knowledge and learn more about career management at a nominal registration fee, making it cost effective and economical for them.

For who and Who Benefits

The seminars and workshops are organized primarily for members of the public at a nominal fee, so that it is cost effective and able to help people improve their career prospects and achieve self-development. JobsDB Career Events collaborations with companies, organizations, associations and institutions can be also arranged for recruitment, career or human resource related purposes.

Social Responsibilty

As a not-for-profit setup, JobsDB Career Events keeps the fees at a minimum to help as many jobseekers as possible to get the best career-related learning to upgrade themselves, particularly those who (1) do not intend to or (2) those that have difficulties paying relatively more for such courses.

Profiles of Trainers

Steven Chong

has over 14 years of corporate experience before venturing in the career services industry for the last 4 years. In 2002, Steven became the Master Facilitator of the Job Hunting Module of the WorkSkills Training Programme (WSTP)

Audrey Quek

won the coveted title of Miss Singapore World in 1999 and represented Singapore in the Miss World finals in London. In 2000, Audrey competed against 31 other finalists from five countries to be crowned Miss World Fuqing . That same year, she also organised the Miss Singapore World pageant and was instrumental in grooming the entire pool of contestants.

Kok Wah

worked with SembCorp for more than ten years in Engineering and Human Resource Development. He specializes in career counselling & development, resume-writing and effective job interview skills.

Elaine Heng

is a qualified image consultant running her own image consultancy firm, Elaine Heng Image Consultancy, specialising in personal and corporate image management courses. Elaine is highly recognised in the image consultancy arena and was invited to be a guest judge on MediaCorp Channel U's Wardrobe SOS shows. She was also featured in Elle magazine, Newman magazine, Female magazine, Mypaper and interviewed by Simply Her magazine and Mediacorp 93.3FM.

Chiang Wen-Wei

He is a certified Life Skills Coach and certified Results Coach, a US Certified Behavioural Consultant for DISC profiling and is also certified for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Personality Profile Analysis and the BarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i) for Emotional Intelligence profiling and coaching. He has more than 10 years experience in training and development, consulting and coaching in Leadership, Teamwork, Customer Service, Emotional Intelligence, HR-consulting and development services. Being a member of the MENSA Society, he is able to facilitate groups of different intellectual levels.

Jenson Siaw

Jensen is the Principal Trainer and Master Coach of SPEAK For Life Training Pte Ltd, an organisation specialised in Communication Skills and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) training and coaching. As an USA-Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Coach and Personal Breakthrough Specialist, Jensen has conducted seminars, workshops, talks and coaching for corporate organisations, government bodies and professionals. Recognised for his expertise in accelerated human change technologies, he has appeared as a guest speaker on 938Live, YES93.3FM, Radio100.3FM, Capital95.8FM, Channel 8, and Channel U.
