Dr. Richard I. Lanyon researched five basic personality
traits in his creation of personality assessment tests. Last week, we
looked at extroversion, this week, we highlight Patience
Patience
(High Patience):
The caring, paced trait
Persons who score high in the trait of Patience are amiable and friendly.
They like harmony and dislike conflict and avoid it. At ease with life's
complexities, they may appear easy-going and may seen passive at times.
They are stable, they like stability, and they may be resistant to change.
High patience individuals fear conflict. They may hesitate too long
before deciding and miss out on opportunities, they may also sacrifice
too time in order to maintain harmony, developing a "Martyr Syndrome".
