There may also be risks involved, but there will be rewards for those who have an open mind and a willingness to explore their career possibilities. Creating a career file - Make up a file of your career thoughts and ideas. Collect job advertisements and course information that interest you. Even if these items are not relevant straight away, they may be useful later. You are gathering raw material to help you in the planning process ahead. This file may also provide useful data for future job applications.

Choosing your tools
To complete any job effectively, you need the appropriate tools that reflect your own style and personality. Some people prefer to work alone, perhaps using a computer or a book. Some prefer to use a professional advise, or a close friend, colleague, or peer group. Sometimes a mixture of these will be appropriate. Use whichever tools you feel most comfortable with, provided they help you progress with your analysis and evaluation.
