These days, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plays a very important role in helping companies to project a positive corporate profile by contributing back to the community in which they operate.

CSR can also be considered as a form of strategic management, as it encourages the company to think laterally about how its relationships will contribute long-term to its bottom line in an increasingly competitive and volatile business world. CSR activities can also help a company to better engage its staff through team bonding activities that are meaningful – such as through charities and fundraising efforts as well. One such recent example of CSR in action is the very first Charity Car Wash by Recruit Express, a valued client of JobsDB Singapore.

On 31 October 2009, 72 staff from Recruit Express took part in a charity car wash at two patrol stations to raise funds for Singaporean children from underprivileged families. All the proceeds from the car wash went to the ST Pocket Money Fund.
