"Creativity is not for the weak; it's not for those who are afraid of the unknown."
- Dr Kirpal Singh
In today's globalised knowledge economy, one of the more serious challenges facing everyone is in trying to solve problems creatively.
According to Dr Kirpal Singh, who teaches Creative Thinking at the Singapore Management University, creative problem solving is not just simply solving problems but coming up with a variety of possibilities, each of which promises a real move forward in terms of the 'problem' at hand. About 50 participants came together at the URA Centre on 28 April 2007 to learn some of these "hands-on" techniques from him and to find out more on the latest developments in the arena of creative problem solving.
