Living in multicultural Singapore is great as we get to enjoy the vibrancy and diversity of interacting with our friends and colleagues from different races and cultures. For Muslims, this month is Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting, where Muslims do not eat anything from dawn to sunset.

Read about how some young Muslims adapt to working life during the fasting month –

Ramadan is a good time for me to renew my spiritual self and also to reflect on my life.

I’m used to the fasting as I’ve been practicing since I was young, so it doesn’t affect my work that much.

Working during Ramadan is a norm for me. The fasting may be hard at first, but it can be managed by not over-exerting ourselves during the day and by eating properly when we break fast at sunset. To keep my mind off the hunger, I immerse myself in computer programming, which I’m passionate about and have chosen as my career too.

I’d like to also wish all fellow Muslims Selamat Berpuasa & Advance Hari Raya Aidilfitri!
