  Power of Positive Paradigm
  - by Chiang Wen-Wei

It is not fun, and of no value to be in the dumps. Moreover, you will not be the only one thinking negatively.

People around you might be thinking negatively as well. People sense our aura and are affected by our thoughts. Positive and negative thinking can be contagious. All of us can affect each other in one way or another. This happens both consciously and subconsciously, through thoughts and feelings transference as well as body language.

Therefore, one of the " Three Power Points to Positive Performance" that Mr. Chiang Wen-Wei, our facilitator, shared was, "Hang around positive people!"

On the 25 October 2008, Mr. Chiang also shared with more than 80 participants at the National Library other tips in achieving positive thinking. Participants were all deeply engrossed in the interesting activities and interactions. During the tea break, participants were all looking forward to the second half of the seminar. Some of them even commented that seminar with such content definitely enlivened their spirits at this economic downturn. In fact, all of the participants left the function with a big smile on the face and a positive mentality definitely.

"A paradigm is our pattern of thinking. Some think with a logical paradigm, some with creative paradigms. I suggest some of us also have a tendency to think with a negative paradigm. Paradigms don't change the external circumstances which, in truth, can be very challenging; but paradigms affect our outlook on the circumstance and therefore affects our response to the circumstance. The Power of Positive Paradigm, therefore, is learning to take positive actions regardless of external circumstances by engaging a positive paradigm."

Regards,
Wen-Wei
