On the afternoon of 9 March 2007, JobsDB.com conducted a Career Personality workshop at Nanyang Polytechnic. Organised by the polytechnic's School of Business Management, a total of 50 students came together to participate in this event and listen to the speaker, Mr Steven Seek, Managing Director of JobsDB Singapore Pte Ltd.
"The objective of this workshop is to help one to understand more about his or her personality and how it can influence one's career choice," said Mr Seek.
He explained that it is never too early or late to plan one's career. Everyone has traits that make him or her suited for certain jobs. Similarly every job has a personality type as well. Therefore, it is important to find a career that best fits one's personality.
Throughout this session, participants were not only able to learn on the factors that influence their career choices, but also finding the right fit between personality and job, personality trait assessment and personality traits of some jobs.
